Water
Blasting
Water blasting is
similar to pressure washing but with higher
pressure and volume. Water blasting can be up to
40,000 PSI and is used to remove coatings, etch
material and clean surfaces. The media can be plain
water, boiling water and water with chemicals and
abrasives added. It is a good alternative to
abrasive blasting when dust is a concern or when
you need to clean deep in to a porous material
without destroying its surface. Water blasting is
also effective when dealing with rubberized
material removal that would just deflect abrasive
blasting media. It is just another tool we have to
get surface preparation done correctly.
